Our Preschool Program prepares children socially and academically as well as supports and encourages the development of independence, responsibility, and confidence, all of which are essential for the child’s ongoing success in kindergarten.
We work in conjunction with the West New York School district to implement the Tools of the Mind Curriculum. Tools of the Mind is a research-based early childhood model combining teacher professional development with a comprehensive innovative curriculum that helps young children to develop the cognitive, social-emotional, self-regulatory, and foundational academic skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. It gives teachers and parents the tools to ensure every child becomes a successful learner.
Our preschool room arrangement creates the optimum learning environment. It allows children easy access to educational toys, materials, and books. Each classroom is organized with different areas: block center, dramatic play, music, art, literacy, manipulative, math, and science which are changed monthly to reflect different themes.
To enhance learning experiences in our preschool, we offer class trips to farms children’s museums and zoos throughout the year. All classrooms are also equipped with a computer, iPad, smart table, or smart board to enhance a child’s technological development.
